About Berkeley Wilde
Berkeley Wilde is a highly experienced Equality, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (EDEI) consultant, researcher, speaker and trainer, with over 30 years of practice across public, private, voluntary and community sectors. Working across all protected characteristics outlined in the Equality Act (2010), as well as the Public Sector Equality Duty (2011) and the NHS Equality Delivery System, Berkeley brings deep expertise in embedding inclusive practice within organisations and services.
A specialist in consultation and engagement, Berkeley leads impactful qualitative and community-based research with diverse equalities groups. This work has directly informed strategic decision-making, including Health & Wellbeing Strategies and Joint Strategic Needs Assessments (JSNAs).
Berkeley is passionate about empowerment, leadership development and social change. His approach combines facilitation, training and group work to create meaningful, lasting impact for individuals, organisations and communities.
As a strategic partner, Berkeley supports the delivery of hate crime and discrimination victim empowerment services across Bath and North East Somerset, Bristol, North Somerset, Somerset and South Gloucestershire, working alongside Stand Against Racism and Inequality (SARI).
Berkeley has also contributed to improving access to domestic abuse services in collaboration with Next Link and SafeLives. In recognition of this work, he was awarded the Ann Wood Award in 2016 for Outstanding Contribution to Tackling Domestic Abuse.
Additional partnerships include work with Bristol ROADS and the Safer Bristol Partnership to advance equality, diversity and inclusion outcomes within substance misuse services.
Berkeley’s wider experience includes collaboration with organisations such as Relate, MindOut (Brighton & Hove), Terrence Higgins Trust, UK Department of Health, All-Party Parliamentary Group on Men’s Health, and the European Men’s Health Forum in Brussels.
He is a Trustee of CVS South Gloucestershire, Chair of the South Gloucestershire Disability Equality Network, and Chair of South Gloucestershire Equalities Forum.
